Jennifer Buerger, LCSW-C

Jennifer Buerger, LCSW-C, is a licensed psychotherapist in Baltimore with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and fellow healthcare professionals. She specializes in helping adults navigate emotional challenges, chronic pain, relationship stress, and major life transitions using evidence-based approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT).

Jennifer works extensively with healthcare professionals and other therapists, and is currently accepting new clients over the age of 17. She sees individuals, couples, and families seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Her therapy style is grounded in strength-based, compassionate care. Jennifer believes each person has inner resources and resilience that can be uncovered, strengthened, and used to bring about meaningful change. In sessions, clients gain awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and learn how to shift unhelpful patterns into more balanced, intentional responses.

Clients often come to Jennifer feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands—family, parenting, relationships, work, or health issues. Her warm, down-to-earth approach helps create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel truly heard and supported. Whether you’re working through a major transition, chronic illness, or long-standing emotional pain, Jennifer offers space to reconnect with your strengths and move toward a more fulfilling life.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Kansas and earned her Master of Social Work equivalent from Case Western Reserve University. She has over 29 years of clinical experience, including 20 years in private practice, and recently joined Five Stones Integrative Health to continue providing holistic, integrative care.

In every session, Jennifer focuses on helping you recognize your strengths, build self-awareness, and create more intentional behavior and outcomes. Her work empowers clients to lead more balanced, resilient, and connected lives. Contact her today!
