Vanina Wolf, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.
Vanina Wolf is the director of The Five Stones Clinic and a licensed acupuncturist. Recently recognized by Baltimore Magazine, as a “TOP DOC” in acupuncture, she is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Five Element Acupuncture from the TAI-SOPHIA Institute (a.k.a Maryland Institute of Integrative Health), the nation’s first acupuncture school and leading academic institution for integrative medicine.
Vanina began researching alternative health care modalities when she first moved to Baltimore in 1994 – to satisfy a life-long interest in health and to address her own digestive disorder. Through her research, she discovered a passion for the healing arts and ultimately decided to pursue her desire to help others through holistic medicine.
Vanina became interested in acupuncture and Chinese medicine for its root in common sense. She, herself, experienced profound and lasting relief from her initial digestive issues, which encouraged her to share this medicine with even more enthusiasm and dedication. She became faculty shortly after graduation and a clinical supervisor for hundreds of new acupuncture students over the course of 7 years.
Vanina has been in practice for over 15 years and treats a wide variety of conditions stemming from emotional and/or physical imbalances that manifest in chronic pain, digestive disorders, skin problems, respiratory complications, insomnia, depression, anxiety, male and female reproductive disorders, neuralgias, and orthopedic injuries. Furthermore, she provides simple lifestyle coaching to empower her patients to reclaim their health outside the treatment room.
Born in Paris, she has lived in France, USA, and Spain and has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Israel, and Ecuador. Her international exposure has given her global insights in how to treat human beings. In addition to English, she also speaks French and Spanish fluently.
Vanina enjoys staying current in health news, and continuing her education in sub-specialties such as: Reproductive Health, Treatments for Cancer, Wellness, and Facial Rejuvenation.
Vanina has a wonderful Baltimorean husband and is a mother to three adorable and loving children. Their dog, Mordi, is the sixth member of their family.

After reading an article about the benefits of acupuncture, I began treatments with Vanina Wolf hoping to find relief from chronic hip pain. It exceeded my expectations! In addition to easing my hip discomfort, the treatments also helped my erratic sleeping habits, the gingivitis that I have been battling for years and the springtime depression that has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Because of Vanina, I have become a firm believer in acupuncture and I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is an extremely knowledgeable, gentle and caring healer and I can’t begin to thank …
After being told by several local doctors that I would most likely never be able to have my own children, I decided to take a more natural approach to conceiving a child. I found Vanina quite by accident after an internet search, though I truly believe it was more a matter of divine intervention! I began treatment with her in July and by September I was pregnant. I believe Vanina was an integral part in helping ready my body for conception and that she has played a vital role in helping me maintain a healthy pregnancy. Not only is Vanina highly educated in her field and naturally talented at w…
Acupuncture keeps me healthy. I had sinus infections every month before coming to acupuncture for treatment. My doctor kept giving me antibiotics and I kept suffering month after month. Since I started acupuncture, I haven’t had a sinus infection in over a year! Vanina, my practitioner, listens to me, she hears what I’m saying. I’ve learned to listen and hear to what my body is telling me. I’m the healthiest I’ve been since I was a child and haven’t felt this good since I was small. Acupuncture has allowed me to declare and acknowledge: ‘I’m alive and well!
Having seen Vanina for acupuncture for the last 3+ years (and multiple acupuncturists in Maryland and other states for years prior), I can emphatically say that she is a most-knowledgable, experienced, and skilled practitioner of integrative health. And while that is no small thing, it is just as much her generosity of spirit and ability to genuinely connect with her patients for their best interests that makes her outstanding. Results: Three years into seeing Vanina for regular treatments, I no longer suffer from debilitating Trigeminal Neuralgia, my physical health and state of mind are in…
The Traditional Acupuncture practice of Vanina Wolf has made a wonderful difference in my life. On my first visit, I was hopeful that I could alleviate a long time reoccurring pain I had in my shoulder through acupuncture. Not only did the actual acupuncture work wonders, but Vanina Wolf also helped me identify and solve the mystery of the problem itself, which was stress related. Through many treatments and conversations, my body and mind have responded to connect me more with my life, heal my aches and pains and recognize the well of healing power I have available in me.
I came to acupuncture for tennis elbow. The pain was preventing me from lifting my daughter and painting, my life’s work. Not only has my pain resolved, but I have also a higher awareness of my body. I always leave the treatment room feeling very relaxed. Vanina has been like a coach in helping me find ways to keep myself healthy. What’s really amazing, is that not only do I benefit from treatment, but so do those around me: My wife says I’m less irritable and my daughter is delighted to be picked up and held.
I can’t even tell you how wonderful I feel. [Vanina] did a very good job, I feel so much better, it’s amazing, thank you very much!
Vanina’s kindness, sincerity, clinical competence, and non-judgmental demeanor helped to put me at ease.
I am a 38 year old woman, a homemaker and mother. I have a bachelor’s degree in English from an Ivy League college. I have been married for 16 years. I have an excellent internist and an excellent obstetrician. I came to acupuncture with an open mind and great respect for the cultures of the Far East, and the hope that eastern medicine could help me get back my good health. Two years ago, my body was out of order. I went to my internist, who told me I needed to be getting more sleep each night. She was right — our young children were waking me up regularly — but I realized what I needed was…
